ONCE YOU ARE REAL
ONCE YOU ARE REAL is a memoir that recounts some of my most touching, trying, and tormented times. It was written from a need to get the thoughts out of my introverted head and onto the page so that I could begin to remember and recover. My hope is that these stories are received by you in such a way that you then feel encouraged to share your stories. For in the end, what we tend to hide away and allow to be a source of isolation can transform into our ultimate source of connection.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hello Darling,
We typically start with the easy, shiny stuff. And if we’re to do that, then this is what you’d know. I was born just before Christmas of 1977 in California. I came home in a stocking and my parents named me Rhonda Lynn. We soon moved to Minnesota where I was a happy and driven child. I was an achiever, a people-pleaser, and I smiled all of the time. We camped, played board games, filled up on my momma’s Filipino meals, and reveled in my dad’s ingenuity. Life was good for me and my sister in our little hometown. And then a series of events happened…
PROJECTS
PASSWORD PODCAST
As much as I love to write, sometimes it's just simpler to get my fleeting thoughts out to you via the spoken word. These are short audio clips that cover everything from daily musings to controversial subjects. No password is needed to listen, just an open heart.
KINDNess PROJECT
I empathize deeply with grief, pain, heartbreak, and struggle. And I understand how difficult of a question it is when someone asks, "How are you doing?" So, this is my way of simply holding space for you and sending a hug through the magic of one of my favorite books.
DAILY WRITING
The critics say not to use Facebook as your diary. Well, I'm not one for conformity and I love to utilize social media to connect with those interested in connecting. I share my daily writings in the form of posts (or, let's get real, they're more like letters). Here are my love letters.
